Conditions We Support

Jarred works with veterans living with a broad range of health conditions, injuries and functional concerns, including:

  • Cancer and cancer recovery — including rebuilding strength, fitness and function during or following treatment

  • Neurological conditions — such as Parkinson’s disease, dementia, multiple sclerosis and stroke

  • Balance and mobility difficulties — including falls risk, reduced walking tolerance and loss of confidence with movement

  • Post-surgical rehabilitation — including recovery following joint replacement, orthopaedic surgery or extended periods of reduced activity

  • Reduced fitness or deconditioning — including fatigue, loss of strength or difficulty returning to exercise after illness, injury or periods of inactivity

  • Mental health conditions — such as PTSD, anxiety and depression

  • Persistent pain and musculoskeletal conditions — including lower back pain, neck pain, shoulder injuries, knee pain and other joint or soft-tissue problems

  • Arthritis and joint conditions — including osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, hypermobility, and reduced joint mobility

  • Cardiovascular conditions — such as coronary heart disease, high blood pressure and recovery following cardiac events or procedures

  • Diabetes and metabolic conditions — including type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome

This isn’t an exhaustive list. If you’re unsure whether Exercise Physiology could support your conditions, health or goals, get in touch and we can talk through what you’re looking for.

What Makes Stronger Path Different?

More time in each session

Exercise Physiology appointments at Stronger Path are 30 minutes, giving Jarred time to check in, work through your exercise program and adapt things as needed.

Gym, hydrotherapy — or both

Sessions don’t have to happen in one setting. Depending on your goals and preferences, you can work with Jarred in the gym, in the pool, or use a combination of both.

No extra gym or pool entry costs

When your appointment takes place at the gym or pool, Stronger Path covers your entry fee. These costs aren’t passed on to you or to DVA.

More than just an exercise program

Jarred likes a good chat. Sessions are a chance to check in on how things are going, talk through what’s happening with your health or exercise, and adjust the plan together — not just turn up, complete a program and leave.

Connection beyond appointments

Stronger Path also creates opportunities for veterans to get active and connect outside regular EP sessions, including community activities such as our upcoming Veteran Pickleball event.

Accessing Stronger Path Through DVA

We welcome DVA clients. DVA Veteran Cards (Gold and White) are accepted as payment upon a GP referral.

DVA Exercise Physiology appointments at Stronger Path are 30 minutes, giving Jarred time to check in with you, work through your program and make changes where needed.

Your eligibility and referral will determine which services can be accessed through DVA. If you’re not sure what you need before making an appointment, get in touch and we can help you understand the next step.

Psychology at Stronger Path

Exercise Physiology is the main focus of our veteran services, but Psychology support is also available through Stronger Path.

Chelsea provides collaborative, individualised psychological support for a range of concerns, including anxiety, trauma-related difficulties, stress, adjustment, neurodivergence, burnout, emotional regulation, relationships and navigating difficult life experiences.

You don’t need to be in crisis or have everything worked out before coming to therapy. Psychology can also be a space to better understand what’s happening, work through experiences and find approaches that fit you.

Accredited Exercise Physiologist & Co-Owner

Jarred works with veterans across a wide range of ages, health backgrounds and goals. His approach is practical, down-to-earth and individualised — with plenty of room for a good chat along the way.

He takes the time to understand what’s going on for you, what you want to work towards and what kind of exercise you’re actually willing to keep doing. From gym-based strength and rehabilitation to hydrotherapy and general fitness, the plan is built around your health, preferences and everyday life.

For Jarred, a good Exercise Physiology session isn’t just about ticking exercises off a program. It’s about building a relationship, adapting things when life or health changes, and helping you make progress that actually matters to you.

Meet Jarred

Health and wellbeing don’t only happen inside a clinic or gym.

Stronger Path also creates opportunities for veterans to get active, try something different and connect with other veterans outside regular Exercise Physiology sessions.

This includes community activities such as our Veteran Pickleball event — combining movement, a bit of friendly competition and the social side of being active together.
