Exercise Physiology
Exercise that works with your body, health, and goals.
At Stronger Path, exercise physiology is about using movement in a way that fits where you are now and what you want to be able to do. Whether you’re managing a health condition, recovering from injury or illness, living with disability, or wanting to feel stronger and more confident, we’ll build a plan around you.
What is an Exercise Physiologist?
Accredited Exercise Physiologists are university-qualified allied health professionals who use exercise and movement to support people living with injury, disability, chronic health conditions and other health concerns that can affect physical function and wellbeing.
Exercise is prescribed for you — taking into account your health needs, current capacity, symptoms, goals and what is realistically going to work in your life.
You don’t need to already be fit, confident in a gym, or know where to start. We’ll help you find a starting point that feels manageable and build from there.
What can Exercise Physiology help with?
Strengths & Mobility
Build strength, balance, mobility and confidence in everyday activities.
Pain & Injury
Find safe ways to move while managing pain, injury, or physical limitations.
Use appropriate exercise to support cardiovascular, metabolic, musculoskeletal, and other chronic health conditions.
Chronic Health Conditions
Recovery & Rehabilitation
Gradually rebuild capacity following surgery, illness, injury, or periods of reduced activity.
Work towards goals related to independence, participation in the community, movement, emotional regulation, and everyday functioning.
Disability & Functional Capacity
Use movement as one part of supporting mood, stress, anxiety, trauma, routine, confidence, and overall wellbeing.
Mental Health & Wellbeing

Group-based exercise
What to expect at your first session
Jarred will ask about your health, day-to-day functioning, previous experiences with exercise, what you enjoy or dislike, and what you’d like to work towards. We start with a conversation
We complete an initial assessment
Jarred will guide you through some simple baseline testing to understand your current physical capacity and help tailor your exercise program. This isn’t about passing or failing — it’s just a way of getting a useful starting point. Depending on your needs, this may include measures of strength, mobility, balance, movement, cardiovascular fitness or exercise tolerance.
We make a plan together
Jarred will talk you through the results, discuss what they mean for your goals, and work with you to decide on an appropriate starting point and plan for future sessions.Initial sessions are approximately 45 minutes long and are held in Jarred’s private office at Culture 24/7. You don’t need to prepare for a full workout or prove how fit you are. This session is about understanding your current capacity and goals, so your prescribed program can be safe, appropriate, and tailored to you.
You don’t have to be a “gym” person
Exercise can be difficult for all sorts of reasons: pain, fatigue, disability, previous injuries, mental health, sensory needs, uncertainty about where to start, or simply having had bad experiences with exercise before.
The aim isn’t to force you into a standard program. We can adapt the environment, activities, pace, and level of support so exercise is more manageable and meaningful for you.
Our Exercise Physiologist: Jarred
Jarred takes a practical, down-to-earth approach to exercise physiology. He works with people across a wide range of ages, abilities, health backgrounds, and goals. Whether you’re managing a health condition, recovering from injury, wanting to improve your strength and fitness, build confidence with exercise, or simply find a more sustainable way to stay active, his approach is tailored to you.
Jarred takes the time to understand what matters to you, where you’re starting from, and what will realistically fit into your life. Sessions are practical, supportive and individualised — whether that involves gym-based exercise, hydrotherapy, rehabilitation, mobility, work or a program you can continue independently.
Jarred’s goal is to help you make meaningful progress at your pace in a way that feels achievable, useful and sustainable.
