Exercise Physiology for Medicare
Exercise physiology services may be available under Medicare for people with chronic or complex health conditions through a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan (formerly known as an EPC plan).
At Stronger Path Allied Health, we work with children, adolescents, and adults to support safe movement, rehabilitation, and long-term health.
Who Can Access Medicare Exercise Physiology
You may be eligible for Medicare-funded exercise physiology if:You have a chronic medical condition (present for 6 months or more), orYou have complex health needs requiring a team-based approach
Eligibility is assessed and arranged by your GP.Medicare Sessions Available
Under a Chronic Disease Management Plan, Medicare provides:Up to 5 allied health sessions per calendar yearThese sessions are shared across all allied health services (e.g. exercise physiology, psychology, physiotherapy)
A Medicare rebate applies to each eligible session, with a small out-of-pocket fee usually payable.How We Work
At Stronger Path Allied Health:Sessions are individualised and goal-focusedExercises are adjusted to your ability and comfort levelCare is delivered in a calm, supportive environmentSessions may be delivered in-clinic, gym-based, or via telehealth (where appropriate)

Psychology for Medicare
Psychology services may be available under Medicare through a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP).
At Stronger Path Allied Health, psychology services are available for children, adolescents, and adults, with care tailored to individual needs and goals.
Who Can Access Medicare Psychology
You may be eligible for Medicare-funded psychology if your GP determines that psychological support would benefit your mental health and wellbeing.Common reasons for referral include:Anxiety, depression, or stressAdjustment difficultiesTrauma-related concernsMood or emotional regulation challenges
Medicare Sessions Available
With a Mental Health Treatment Plan, Medicare provides:Up to 10 individual psychology sessions per calendar yearSessions are typically accessed in stages (e.g. first 6, then a review for additional sessions)
Medicare rebates apply, with an out-of-pocket fee payable.How We Work
